"Hobby Lobby"

24 February 1957
"I hope you believe that I am acting like a grown up man over here. When I tell you that I am staying aboard ship, I mean every word of it. I always tell the fellows that I have a wife and two lovely children back in San Diego and I don't care to go ashore with them...The ship has 35 cases of VD aboard now...Isn't that terrible, and the people just laugh it off. I really don't know what this world is coming to...A couple of the chiefs are building handbags for their wives and daughters while they stay aboard ship at nite. We call it Hobby Lobby..."
