Setting at anchor in La Spezia, Italy

29 October 1952
La Spezia, Italy

"I really think about you when I am over here. It is a lot better than going ashore and getting some sort of a disease....Some of the married men still go ashore and do the things that they should not do. But not me, I have a wife in Norfolk that is true to me and I want to be the same to her....Well Honey think of me tonite when you crawl in bed. I will do the same and that way we will be together again."

Note: This letter was written 41 years to the day before Buss and Ruth's 6th and final grandchild would be born.
